What is Ankur?
Ankur is a special school for Mentally Retarded (M.R.) Children, only such school in entire Bhavnagar District, functioning for last 30 years.
Vision
Mentally retarded people to become economically self dependant, socially participative and individually self reliant
Mission
To improve the quality of life of mentally retarded children of Bhavnagar District by providing a range of unique training, practical learning, innovative therapies and qualitative services to enable and empower them to satisfy their special needs to make them self sufficient.

Ankur is a Non-Government Organization (NGO), established under various Government acts and provisions.
Infrastructure
Ankur has excellent infrastructure in terms of well designed main building with facilities for classes, conference hall, play ground, computer room, library, vocational centre etc. for the improvements of the children.
